Way past pouring...

You're familiar with the saying, "when it rains, it pours"? I think we are at the collosal flood stage. We are so far past pouring, I wonder how we haven't drowned yet.

A total of five children

in Five car accidents

in Three rollovers

and Three Totalled Cars

in the last Six months.

This last one involved my daughter and her fiance (two months before their wedding) driving down the highway when the back tire blew. Both of their windows were down but when the car flipped, but it flipped to my daughter's side and instinct told her to brace herself.

Her hand went down (out the window) in a car flipping at 76 mph.

I still can't believe she has a hand, but God was gracious and spared their lives.

Again.

Life is so odd these days. I feel like I'm constantly being called to make a new assessment of my heart's standing. Like I'm continually being asked to evaluate life from new perspectives, and I just don't want to anymore.

It feels veey ungrateful to sit on this side of a car wreck, five to be exact, wirh life and limb preserved and still ask for more.

Deep sigh. But I do. I ask for calm, and peace and contentment.

And even more than that, I ask for laughter and joy and fulfillment.

And most of all, I ask for time. Time to make lots more memories and lots more love.

I realize this is one of my shorter posts, but time is fleeting as I sit beside a sleeping baby that will be waking any moment now.

Life changes in a moment, friends, and you're never ready. Love lots.

What?! That is awful! You're all still here and whole thank goodness. May there be no more car crashes!! Or anything injurious to you and the ones you love.

I totalled two cars in short order, both times flipped the cars with children strapped into the back seat, in parking lots. I couldn't drive at all for a while, just couldn't, and now I drive very defensively, especially in parking lots. I'm that person who drives in the lanes, even when the entire parking lot is empty.

Seriously...

I'm like... my darlings... please. please no more.

One of the car flips -

(this was 2 months ago) flipped 7 times - down an embankment and landed upside down in a creek.

Thank God it was a Jeep - with that super sturdy frame!!! or - I dont' even want to think. That crash did not involve my kids - but the fiance's family.

My kids were in the 4 others.. either alone - or with others. but...

honestly!!!! no. more PLEASE!!!

And yes... I'm always trying to capture special moments between the two of them in random times. It's like the silver lining for me you know?

She had fainted at the accident and was unconscious for about 10 seconds? So he was keeping his arm around her when she walked after that. I love that they were looking at each other in love - without realizing anyone was watching. 2 months - and they will start their lives together, Lord willing!!! no more accidents!!! please!!

It's a relief to see that she is okay with her husband, a slight injury is evitable in situation like this but glory be to God that it wasn't more than what it is.

Incident like this calls us to evaluate our lives in different ramifications most especially our relationship with God but not many pay attention to that.

I blessed God he took control over the situation, wishing Remy quick recovery. My regards to the rest of the family, sending a big ♥️.

exactly... evaluation of every aspect of our lives. LOL Glory to God that we have all still been protected through all these!!! The wedding is still on! :) 2 more months and I get to watch her walk down the aisle. Lord willing!!

So grateful they were left relatively unscathed. You're right! Too many accidents this year 😔I think it's time for all the kids to take stock. Life isn't to be taken for granted. And we cannot always control the narrative either. Stuff happens so quickly. Perhaps a day course in advanced tactical driving skills should be high on the priority list. No jokes! I think when my kids get to driving age and they pass their driver's license, I am going to insist that they do advanced driver training too! They can learn to handle blowouts and oil slicks and whatever else is thrown at them. I think some skid pan practice would be very useful. Sending love !LUV !LADY !Hug

Sydney keeps asking... why?? why??? She's like I wasn't driving recklessly! the tire blew and AGAIN we get in an accident??? She keeps asking like - what is she doing wrong!? But ... sometimes we just dont' know. We can only be hyper aware at all times and ask God to keep us safe from harm.

and yes - i didn't even know there was an advanced course - but you know what would be great???
some kind of simulation training... where you like... are in a machine that is like VR and lets you FEEL what its like!!!

that would be great!

hmmm i'm gonna build it and market it LOL just kidding - its probably out there somewhere hahaha

There will always be idiots and hazards on the road, no matter how safely we are driving ourselves. And yep! They have advanced tactical driver training courses. They help to prepare one for these unexpected occurrences. Anyone can pay to go on them here in the UK but I think a lot of companies put their staff on them if they drive on company business in company vehicles. But a VR version sounds cool too!!!

You are NOT allowed to buy another car ever! Your whole family is NOT allowed to drive. You will now have to buy horses and ride them to a from work or an Uber.

Dear Lord Women! Your Guardian Angels are working around the clock to keep you all safe. I am going to send you those living Bubbles for you all to wear until after the wedding!

I can't thank God enough for you, Dear Sis @dreemsteem . Our day of joy will not be turned into mourning in Jesus name. Our God will continue to make out a way that shames and surprises the devil. Hearing of the accident and seeing the car is heart breaking but seeing her alive, even with the injury on her hand, we lift up our mouth in praise.
Thank God we can write to rejoice with you . God will continue to come through for you, your girl, her husband and the entire family.

every day I see her hand even. I think... "she has a hand! she could have been walking down the aisle with NO HAND!" Even then - she would still have had her life. but thank God for sparing even her limbs!!! even her precious fingers

in 2 months - they will be married.

And after this accident - whew... we were thankful that there will still be a wedding and not two funerals.

Just the next day on this road - 3 people were in an accident. They were not wearing their seatbelts and they all died :(

My heart just sank hearing this!!! My daughter and her fiance were wearing their seatbelts but it would have been a much different story if they had not been!!!

It was.... ugh..

and as I arrived and she saw me coming to get her.. I think she just finally let go of being strong - because she just fainted.

The officer caught her in his arms and then lifted her to safety. She was so confused when she regained consciousness. but I was terrified. I thought I was watching my daughter die. I thought for some reason - they missed something and she was gone. Talk about terror.

I hope this is over now. All of these accidents can END now... please Lord!

Seatbelts!!!

Thank GOD that He impresses on their minds to always wear seatbelts.

the very next day - same place- another accident. 3 people -NOT wearing seatbelts and all died 😭 Just a tiny strap - and totally different outcomes!!

Praise God for His protection over my babies!!!

no more. 5 in 6 months is quite enough. please Lord!

My God, what a complicated moment. I don't really know what to say, we just have to be grateful that we are alive and that we came out of tense problems like this alive.

Traffic is not easy, at any moment things like these can happen and we are never prepared for them, we can only hope to get out alive, the material goods we run after, the important thing is to get out of moments like this alive.

Hey how terrifying!
The good thing is that everyone is alive and that scare, although it marked their lives, will only be an experience that little by little will diminish in their minds. I'm glad it didn't go too far. You really have to be very careful when it comes to the street, sometimes I feel afraid to drive.

I think its good to have that healthy fear of driving!!!
because even if you're a good driver - others around you can kill you just as fast.

If this isn't grace, I don't know what else it could be, I have never experienced a car crash but an accident of this magnitude could have done a lot of damage.

I'm just glad your daughter and her husband are fine, kindly let cars be for now, maybe you should consider the usage of bicycles, I can't even bare the thought of anything happening to you

Just try to keep yourself safe as much as possible, may the grace of the lord continue to shield you and your family

Oh my goodness, I am grateful to God for keeping your daughter and her soon to be husband alive. It's my prayer that the hands of devil will achieve no success in our lives. Our God is faithful. Look out his marvelous work in your daughter's life, it can only be Him alone.
