🙌🏽🌻Sublime Sunday🙌🏽💖 by @c0ff33a - My First Time Diving Experience
I cannot even express myself completely of how I feel after doing this. I have never been a very adventurous person, but somewhere in the last 2 to 3 years I have been getting this itch to do some adventurous things in life. I feel that life is going by so fast and I am not living it to the fullest. So many years have gone by just focusing on earning and barely focusing on things that I would really want to accomplish in life.
I wanted to do the Diving one time in my life, but I have been very scared because I do not know swimming, which is one another regret in life and hopefully I will overcome that soon. I contacted some of the Diving companies to check if I can do the diving without knowing swimming and they said No. Then I got to know about this Diving activity at the Aquarium, where they have a huge set up for Diving and you can do it even without knowing Swimming. So, finally, my dream came true. I registered for it and over the weekend did it.
One of my friend also accompanied me, she too wanted to do. She had done it earlier so she had good idea of what to expect. For me it was the very first time, I was nervous, scared, anxious and at the same time excited. I had some withdrawal symptoms also towards the end, but then I pushed myself saying, if not today then it may never happen. They gave us a briefing, I was listening carefully but I knew that when in water I may goof up. The Divers assured me that it would be safe and they would be around all the time. I told my Diver that he need to hold my hand all the time and be around me only.
There is a nice viewing gallery so both our hubbies waited there and when we started our diving they clicked pictures for us. Quite an exciting moment it was. At first I was nervous but once I got in and felt safe I started feeling comfortable, but I was very stiff all through out and scared also at times. I could have done it better, probably the next time. I feel I am going to do this again being relaxed and enjoy the experience.
The only time I left my diver's hand was when I came near the glass to wave at hubby and there I got support of the glass.
The start of our diving, me and my friend.
Get, Set, Go.....
As we start descending, he was making sure that I was getting acclimatized to the pressure slowly and going down.
Enjoying the ride
I had to keep pressing my nose time and again to equalize the pressure in my ears.
As you will see he is holding my hand all through out
I am so proud of myself of accomplishing this mission. In my childhood I had a major water phobia and because of that I never learned swimming, nor did I have anyone to encourage me. I lacked confidence in all type of physical activities. Now I am capable enough to motivate and encourage my self and hubby also supports me. He never steps behind for anything that I would like to do. When my son saw the videos he also wants to do it now. Next month he is planning to come here, so I am thinking when he does it I will also go for one more round.
My next adventure is to trek up to the Everest Base Camp which comes up in the month of April.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
