“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”

― Lewis Carroll

I contemplated writing more words here; then realised it wasn't entirely necessary.

Can we conclude on true value when we cannot read one another's minds?

Where's the proof?

Who is the real gatekeeper of self-expression?

In a roundabout way it made me wonder how much we're still going to see NFT grow and become powerful to share and sell art in any form. My experience in NFT is still focused on photographs, although I love to paint and draw, but I haven't had the happiness of selling any of the ones I've put up yet.
Now, focusing on what I said, I fully agree, it doesn't take many words to say a lot, including the concept of synthesizing big ideas into small sentences is not only a surgical and complex process, but it is also an art in itself, for example the very ones Zen Haikais, sometimes less is more.

Truth is, sometimes we deem something to be valuable while another person might not, it's peculiar with art works and NFTs. It's often why we have disagreement of rewards on hive, or why some people feel they can't reward posts with too many GIFs or they feel compelled to downvote. In reality, value is intrinsic. But then we cannot read minds so there's always the need to prove value so that it could be relatable and believeable to others as well.

Merely my thoughts, I could be wrong.

Definitely, there is an expectation there for us to prove that the proof of brain is genuine (quite bizarre really). Without objectivity, there can be no definite answer for what is truly valuable and what is worth how much to someone else.

How can we be completely objective when it comes to a posts value? (myself, @scholaris, and @nonsowrites have more experience than most in this field, and we still can't answer this)

We cannot be completely objective because of our different point of views, perspective and different ideologies of what true value is, it's basically of the perks of decentralisation. It'll completely remain an issue and it'll be argued over. No one can completely create a compelling case 100% and have Others buy into it, as these others will keep seeing flaws.

The only thing we can do is trying to keep proving and trying again and again.

This has been the case since the inception of this project. we have had different fingers poke at it--and still do, which I find strange because based on my knowledge there isn't any project currently on the hive blockchain that is as efficient, transparent and innovative as proofofbrain and we don't have the popular names on the blockchain, so I guess many are still recovering from the shock.

If I understand the question correctly, I think the gatekeeper of self-expression is our ego, which is what determines value,
based on his immediate interests

You've got to get some new skills- telepathy.. but that would still be useless online.
Who is the gatekeeper of self-expression?
Hmm.. well let me think- I guess you are your own master and gatekeeper.
I still don't know what this is about, but it was fun to respond

you are your own master and gatekeeper.

Precisely. Yet we still have people who like to assume that role for others.

Glad you had fun! That's what I like to see.

It's Tommy!!

We have no idea what goes on in another's brain or heart unless they decide to reveal it to us.

I'm waiting for the telepathic social network, but you knew that.

unless they decide to reveal it to us.

Bingo. This is a crucial factor in PoB, without transparency and honesty, there is uncertainty.

Something we have to learn how to deal with until the telepathic social network arrives, unless...

True value is just like a service or deed done in an abstract manner. It is valid only when an outcome is measured.
The only proof of true value is the result it produces.

As for the gatekeeper of self expression. It is oneself that can be such.

This is so deep on so many levels and your lack of elucidation provides exceptional punch by it's absence. Pure art.

Taught me a new word there, elucidation. Will get it added to the WOTW list.

Cheers!

Fab! lol. It's such an amazing thing the brain...enigmatic for sure...the more you use it, the more it wants to be used. I have these words that keep escaping from the tips of my fingertips that I haven't used in ages, but being on Proof of Brain and writing regularly is such a catharsis to the soul that these wonderful words keep surfacing. I am so pleased that the ones I have discovered in my life journey so far are not actually lost; just retained deep within the receptors of my cortex, waiting to be re-awakened ...and now I feel another creative piece coming on off the back of this comment. Ha!

Interesting! I believe true value like beauty is subjective. We cannot read minds but an individual's action is key.

Trippy

Oh and while I am still here, I am unable to post, comment or even login to POB. Where can I get some help?

Did you manage to figure this out? There were some tech issues yesterday with the front-end but I think they've been solved since.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Nope, I am still not able to work here. My system hangs each time I click on something. The proofofbrain .blog at least lets me read stuff, yet won't let me post.

I felt swallowed up by your art Cal.

What a compliment!
